We are stone flooring installation specialists of North Yorkshire, founded by Yorkshireman Nick Knibbs. The Stone Floor Company combines project management, design flair and artisan technique to create beautiful flooring.
Nick was brought up in Bedale near Ripon in the Yorkshire Dales. He has worked man and boy in tiling for nearly thirty years. He began working for a flooring company in Bedale as a summer job when he was a teenager. He continued his studies at Scarborough Technical College and in Newcastle, gaining a degree from Teesside. Nick then worked for local kitchen and bathroom companies before setting up his own tiling company.

Delivering a pleasure, creating a masterpiece
Some tilers and builders lay tiles in the order they remove them from the shipment. We study each tile for pattern, colour and repetition to create the most pleasing and restful effect. We also take into account focal points, wall colours and lighting states.
This is why we spend so much time laying out tiles and stonework before we begin installing them.
