How long does it take screed to set? Here are the answers to some questions we are asked by our clients.

Yes, we can lay electric underfloor heating. However for underfloor heating driven by central heating, we would recommend using a qualified plumber. We can source one for you.

Typically we work on floors of 30 square metres or more. That’s around 100 square feet.

We will provide the best solution, so you don’t need to worry. We will consider issues such as using white adhesive for a light tile so no discoloration shows through.

Hairline cracks happen when tiles and floors expand and contract because of heat. It’s a key issue when it comes to underfloor heating. If your floor is prepared professionally, this should not be a problem.

Screed is the additional layer we may need to add to a floor to make it level. It can take from three hours to overnight to set. However we will discuss this in detail during the design and installation process.

This depends on the tile you choose and the look you wish to create. We can provide grouts in a range of colours, not just greys, whites and creams. We can also vary the grout width to perfect the feel of your design.

This is when we lay tile adhesive quite thickly on the back of a tile. This happens most often when we lay large tiles, such a travertine tile, to make sure the tile doesn’t move.
